M-Class

Datamax is poised to revolutionize the thermal printing industry again with the M-Class printer line. The M-Class offers users a durable, technologically advanced thermal printer with the design principles that have proven successful in other Datamax printers, in a smaller footprint for use in emerging market applications. The M-Class consists of the M-4206, an entry-level industrial printer for value-conscious customers, and the M-4208 and M-4306, high performance models with LCD display and expanded option sets.

Thermal printing is expanding to more vertical market and industry applications, and Datamax is maintaining a leadership position in printer design and performance with the M-Class. The M-Class is built on a uni-frame, die-cast aluminum chassis, increasing the printer's durability throughout a lifetime of high performance output. The truly modular design of the M-4206, unique to Datamax printers, allows options to be installed and removed in the field. Datamax printers offer versatility that is unparalleled in the thermal printing industry. Datamax builds products that provide value and cost savings to users, and the M-Class continues this legacy.

While a printer's design and construction is key to its durability, the ability to interface with an existing or new system is what enables truly seamless integration into any application. Standard connectivity interfaces for the M-Class include an RS-232 serial port, an IEEE 1284 compliant, bi-directional parallel port, and a USB port. Network users have many options, including a fully integrated, highly functional internal Ethernet card, or a more economical external Ethernet port. Datamax also offers DMXConfig, a desktop configuration tool that allows users to retrieve, modify, and update the printer's configuration without entering the printer's menu. Printer settings can be saved and sent to multiple printers if the application requires.

The M-Class is designed to address emerging markets for thermal printers, including healthcare, light industrial, retail and shipping applications. The printer's advanced menu system and durable features are the finishing touches in creating the most value-oriented printer for these emerging market users. The M-Class is the most feature-rich printer available to address the desktop/light industrial marketplace with the performance and value required in these applications.
