Mobile Computing Featuring Windows® CE
The new Falcon® 4210 is a compact, rugged handheld
computer combining the flexibility of Microsoft’s®
Windows® CE operating system and applications with RF
data communications, bar code scanning and optional
magnetic stripe card processing. The Falcon® 4210 is
designed for retail, logistics, and field service
applications where maximum performance is required in a
compact form factor.

Demand
The Falcon® 4210 incorporates all the top features users
are demanding today. Laser, Magnetic Stripe Input, and
large 1/4 VGA touch screen display. A user accessible PC
Card slot allows easy expansion for additional memory,
modem, or RF communications. A built-in 16 key numeric
keypad provides additional ease of data entry. Tested to
repeated 4.0' / 1.2m drops to concrete, the Falcon® 4210
is designed to handle demanding data collection tasks.
Ready to Run
The Falcon® 4210 includes Microsoft® Pocket Word, Pocket
Internet Explorer (browser), and Inbox (email)
applications so you are ready to run right out of the
box. Application development is a snap with Windows® CE
as many 3rd party development tools are available for
both batch and RF environments. Additionally, PSC offers
a variety of development tools for the Falcon® 4210
including RFBuilder, and our PowerNet terminal emulation
solution for VT100, VT220, HP700/92, IBM 3270, and IBM
5250 emulations.
Batch and
Wireless Models
For both local and remote data collection applications,
the Falcon® 4210 Batch portable is an ideal solution.
Data can be sent to a host using standard RS232
communications using the docking cradle or a direct
connect cable. An optional integrated modem kit is
available for dial-up communications supporting speeds
up to 56Kbps. The Falcon® 4210 RF portable sets the
standard for flexibility when
it comes to wireless communications, providing
connectivity for data collection applications where
real-time information is critical. The Falcon® 4210 is
available with the leading 802.11b radios including
Cisco Aironet, Lucent (Agere) Orinoco, and Symbol S24 HR
providing interoperability with other leading WiFi
compliant radios.
